After a challenging start to the season, with low light and unpredictable weather leading to a slow start, we are pleased to have delivered our first month of veg boxes! Not to mention it has been our first proper year of growing food at this scale and on this land.
With the arrival of some decent sunshine (finally!) the produce is starting to grow quickly and the field is looking pretty abundant. As we move towards the traditional celebration of Lammas, it is now the time that the harvest really beings!
It is so exciting to see the fruits of our hard graft being rewarded. It is a joy to grow healthy and tasty food to share with the local community through our weekly veg box scheme and monthly markets at Roberts Park in Saltaire. Spending time on the land, watching it grow and evolve, is a beautiful process, that we feel very lucky to play a part of.
